Lakewood Prairie is a clubhouse community located in the far western part of Joliet. The community has a mix of single family and country homes. Lakewood Prairie has a clubhouse, multiple parks, community pool, and an elementary school all on site. If you are planning on moving into the area, you will find our neighborhood to be warm and friendly.

Clubhouse & Pool

In the middle of our community, you will find a large clubhouse used to hosts parties and events. There is also a community pool adjacent to the clubhouse, which is open throughout the summer. More Info…
Parks
Lakewood Prairie currently has two parks. One park is adjacent to the clubhouse and hosts a play area with tennis and sand volleyball courts. The second park is off Jewelflower Lane which has a play area as well. Once the community it fully built out, it will host two additional parks.
Jones Elementary
School
Jones Elementary School is located on the southern edge of our community, just north of Black Road. Jones Elementary was built in 2008 – 2009 and opened its doors in the fall of 2009. The school hosts grades K – 4 and serves all of Lakewood Prairie and the surrounding neighborhood. More Info…
Status of our Community
The Lakewood Prairie subdivision was originally started by Lakewood Homes LLC in 2005. Lakewood Homes released the remaining unsold lots in 2009. In 2010, Wade Light Group purchased these unsold lots and hit the ground running with some projects to beautify the community. These projects include sidewalk repairs, tree replacement, re-positioning soil, and adding the final lift to the roads inside the subdivision. The Wade Light Group recently sold some lots in Lakewood Prairie to William Ryan Homes. William Ryan Homes has built beautiful homes all over the United States since 1992 and our community is excited to have them breaking ground here in Lakewood Prairie. They are planning on building a new model near the main entrance of the subdivision in the spring of 2011.
